Heritage trails are a great way to explore a region and discover aviation heritage sites that you may not have heard of. We are developing dedicated booklets to make it easy to explore our regional networks of aviation heritage sites.

Our latest (and largest) trail covers the East Anglia region featuring 30 historic airfields, museums, memorials and aviation sites in the region from the First World War to the Cold War era.

This follows our popular 11 Group Trail which was launched earlier in the year (2021) and covers the South East region, along with the ‘Other trails‘ section which includes a variety of other walking, cycling and motoring possibilities. If you know of a good aviation-themed trail that isn’t included, do let us know.

You can also use our online map and site directory to create your own tailor-made heritage trail. It features summary details, website and all the contact information you will need to ensure the site is open on the day you wish to visit.
