Vulcan XL426 will take to the runway London Southend Airport on Saturday 11 September for our second taxi-run event of the year.

Viewing will be from the the Vulcan Restoration Trust's exclusive visitor area in front of its hangar. This will give an uninterrupted view across the airport and unrivalled photographic opportunities.

After speeding down the runway, XL426 will deploy her brake parachute (subject to serviceability) then taxi back to the apron area, giving a superb close-up view as the Vulcan taxies in and shuts down her engines.

Gates will open at 11.30 am with the taxi-run taking place at 1.00 pm.

Attendance is limited and tickets are now on sale. Prices are as follows:

Public Adult: £50.00

VRT Member Adult: £25.00

Under-16 (must be over 12 years of age due to London Southend Airport rules): £15.00

VRT Individual Members may purchase a single ticket at the discounted rate and Family Members may purchase two. There is no limit on the number of Public or Under-16 tickets VRT Members can buy for their guests.

Teas, coffees and refreshments will be on sale throughout the day. Our Vulcan souvenir stall will be open for anyone wishing to take home a memento of the day.

The event will be dedicated to the memory of Norman Skinner and Pauline Skinner, the Vulcan Restoration Trust's Founding President and Vice-President respectively, who both passed away over the winter.

Should it be necessary to cancel the event for any reason, we will provide full refunds on all ticket purchases. We won’t, however, be able to compensate for other costs you or your guests might incur attending the event, such as travelling or hotel costs.
