Man climbing into a Vulcan

Kev Rumens (Vincent Hopper)

Our guest speaker will be Kev Rumens. Kev became familiar to air show goers in the 2010s as a display pilot on XH558, where his dramatic and memorable displays enthralled thousands all across the UK. More recently, he has joined the VRT Crew and has accompanied Bill Burnett on pilot duties for XL426’s taxi-runs in 2021.

Kev will be presenting his talk, informally titled From Dropping Bombs to Dropping Passengers (on Holiday), where he will look back at his career in the RAF and as an airline pilot. His time spent flying the Vulcan will get a mention too!

Doors will open at 11:30 with the Christmas Buffet Lunch at 12:30. Kev Rumens will speak from 13:30 with a break for coffee and mince pies half way through. We will then take a look back at the Vulcan Restoration Trust's activities in the past 24 months at our Annual General Meeting, which will include film of XL426's taxi-runs this year. The afternoon will close at 17:00.

Tickets are on sale now until 30 November. Adults £25, Under 16s £16.

VRT Members may purchase a maximum of four tickets at a special discounted rate of £21. For clarity, one ticket per person is required.

The ticket price includes our famous Christmas Buffet which includes dessert and tea or coffee. There will also be a licensed pay bar.

Our Vulcan souvenir stall will be in attendance and we will also be offering a number of interesting items for sale by auction, so please bring your wallets, purses and credit cards with you!

If the event cannot go ahead for any reason, full refunds will be given.
