This coming Sunday, the 4th of August 2024 is our 𝗥𝗔𝗙𝗔 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗩𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆. Come along and meet members of the local Royal Air Forces Associations and other military Veterans. Enjoy talking to these veterans whilst taking a look at the 1000’s of artefacts, 60+ aircraft and cockpits that we have.

Along with open cockpits, and flight simulators, Museum Volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and point out some of the features of each aircraft.

In addition to the normal events that happen on that day, it is also the day when our new Honorary President of the Museum, Air Marshal Sir Roger Austin, KCB, AFC, will be present at the Museum. This will be an opportunity for him to meet visitors and volunteers alike and see the Museum in operation.

The museum site will be fully open as usual from 1000 to 1600 on the day, with all the aircraft, cockpits, and equipment on display. The 446th, Air Sea Rescue, Royal Observer Corps buildings, as well as the Bomber Command Museum will all be open with Volunteers on hand to explain the thousands of aviation-related items that make up the Museum Collection.
