On Friday 19 August, we are launching a new exhibition commemorating the 80th anniversary of Operation Jubilee. The exhibition explains the role of No. 11 Group, responsible for coordinating fighter and bomber squadrons during the operation, and highlights a variety of personal stories.

We invite you to join us on 20 and 21 August, to see our Dieppe-focused tours, enjoy our free family activities, and listen to fascinating presentations by historians and veterans' family members.

Saturday 20 August:

Eugenie Brooks: Presentation on her father, Flight Lieutenant John Brooks DFC DFM, who flew with No. 174 (Mauritius) Squadron during Operation Jubilee and was awarded a DFM for his leadership.

13:00 – 14:00

Stuart Hadaway from Air Historical Branch (RAF): Presentation on the history of Operation Jubilee – background, narrative of main events and analysis of the outcomes.

Sunday 21 August:

11:00-12:00

Linda Samuels: Presentation on her father, Flight Sergeant Jack Nissenthall who was a radar and electronics expert enlisted for a top secret mission during Operation Jubilee.

Joe Hill, Military History Curator at the Bunker: Presentation on Curating Operation Jubilee - focusing on personnel who fought on the ground at Dieppe, underground at Uxbridge and in the air over Northern France.
