11 Group Heritage Network (the South-East MAHN region) has secured funding for a family-orientated heritage trail scheme to encourage visits to multiple aviation heritage sites in the region. Plans include designing a different badge for each site participating in the scheme, which will be collected on a lanyard along with a free trail 'passport' booklet where families can find other aviation heritage attractions in the area. To encourage visits there will be rewards for collecting multiple badges.

The idea is modelled on the successful 'Wheels of Time' scheme in Kent but will have an aviation heritage focus and span a wider area geographically. The scheme will launch in Spring 2021 and has been funded by Historic England as part of their support for the development of the Military Aviation Heritage Network.
